Creating Assessments in MasteryConnect

Educational technology should do one of two things 

Simplify Life 
Increase learning in the classroom 

Mastery Connect does that!! 

Note: Most of the work occurs PRIOR to testing.

Step One: Create your assessments

  • This is just like you did in the past. Create your quiz in WORD or PAGES.  (If you use PAGES, save your file as a .pdf)  
  • You can use the following assessment questions in your test
    • Multiple Choice 
    • True/False
    • Rubric
    • Open Answer (Similar to short answer. You would go back and grade this but it is stored in your tracker)
      • You can use a mixture of any of these questions  

Step Two: Create a tracker (This is your class roll where you upload the assessments.  You create one for each class)


Step Three: Add assessments to your classes

Step Four: Giving the Assessment 


Step Five: Import Grades into ENCORE 

  • Just as you did before, create an assignment in ENCORE (Keep this window open) 
  • Go into Masteryconnect.
  • Key Element: Keep your masteryconnect window open when you hit "f8" in ENCORE
